About Meena
I am Meena. I have always had a love for teaching as it runs in the family. I began my journey through helping out my own tutor at 11+ at 13 years old where I was given 3 children to provately tutor before the class started. I began this voluntary work and soon came to realise I can teach children in relation to how they want to be treated. I respect every student in their talents as I was also a student not long ago and I can understand how they feel with school. I am usually praised for the way I can turn around a childs stubborness to willingness in learning Maths. When I was 15-16, I opened my tutoring where I taught over 40 children. 30 of which passed their 11+ and the others were GCSE students who developed a keeness to learn maths- 5 of them took it for A-level the following year.
Maths is a subject that many can struggle with however I want to show you how it can be turned around. I would love to be a tutor once again :)

I usually teach online as it makes it more feasible for the student and tutor to have consistent meetings. Usually teaching for 1 hour- 2 hours, depending on the level of Maths wanting to be taught. I teach 11+, GCSE, and A-level Maths. Each has an opening discussion about weaknesses where I will approach each topic and end with a homework test. Homework will be given accordingly and will be expected to be completed on time. After each session, I do plan the next according to the progress of the student. Younger students will have parents receiving feedback after each session sent to them.
I am going to be going to University however I have been teaching for the past 5 years with each year of expereince teaching me a new alternative way to teach children. Parents have often praised me for my mature approach and as I am young, I am able to quickly engage with children and understand the psychology behind how I may improve their grades in the subject.
