About Roman
Mathematics has always been a niche for me throughout my years of schooling, as well as science. For instance, in my sophomore year of high school, I was nominated for the Governor's Honors Program in Georgia for my performance in mathematics. I completed math all the way until AP Calculus BC in high school, until I graduated a year early. Now, at Vanderbilt University, I am a Biochemistry and Medicine, Health, & Society major, taking various science and mathematics courses. These STEM classes have always been my biggest interests.

Typically, when I tutor, I allow the student to walk me through the problems step by step on their own. I teach in a way that makes them feel as if they are the teacher for that problem. From there, if I see the student makes a mistake, I make a mental note to bring it up later. However, I tell my students to work over the problem twice and observe both of their answers when done. Frequently, students will notice that they have two different answers, and I will allow them to see where they went wrong. From there, we discuss how we can avoid making that problem once again! I currently teach a seventh grader in physics, and I can teach from elementary school to high school!
