About Alice
I am currently a student at the University of Oxford, studying for a BA in Economics and Management. I am secure in both problem solving and critical thinking. I have experience with thinking skills assessments, in particular taking the TSA1, gaining me entrance into Oxford. I can also offer interview prep for students applying to Oxford or Cambridge. I have prior experience in tutoring, teaching maths to students between the ages of 11 and 16. I also have experience working with younger people, having been a young leader at Brownies for 5 years, and running the youth debate club at my school for the students in lower school. I am dedicated, patient and friendly towards all my students, making sure that they are comfortable whilst still pushing them to improve academically.

Lessons are an hour long. We will begin the tutoring partnership by assessing what level the student is at, and what areas need to be focused on the most. The bulk of the lesson will be going through practice questions. The student will think through the question on their own and then I will offer support and guide the student towards the correct line of thinking if their answer was wrong. I will monitor the types of questions that the student particularly struggles with and teach them the way to look at and approach different formats of question.
