About Lyla
I am particularly fascinated with the political world of the Middle East, primarily studying political ecosystems in contemporary Egypt and Syria. I am, however, likewise intrigued by life on the Arabian peninsula under the caliphates; I believe this is a fascinating period of study and resonates greatly with my lifelong goals of understanding the human condition. I also absolutely love the Wars of the Roses, and am in general an all-round history and linguistic fanatic. I am keen to learn languages: my Cambridge degree covers learning Arabic, which greatly excites me. I also absolutely love cats! I have five wonderful cats.

- A level History - GCSE History - Experienced Tutor - I provide extensive support in very detailed essay structures which enabled me to achieve an A* and a Grade 9. - Most particularly for A levels I can succinctly clarify and help students to develop their critical analysis skills, and repeatedly produce A* essays. - 1 hour sessions, but open to accommodate student needs. Likewise I’m offering personal statement guidance for UCAS admissions generally, and Oxbridge specific.
