About Elisabeth
I am a first year student at the University of York studying English Literature. When taking my GCSE's I found out that I had Dyslexia which had made my education experience very challenging. I had to find ways to study and learn subjects whilst having very little support given to me. When taking my A-levels, I finally reached out to a tutor, which allowed me to find new ways to revise and take in information that wasn't overwhelming or confusing. I have many techniques that as a teacher I would to share with my students.

When I begin a lesson, I will always make sure to ask my student what they need from me. Do they need help focusing on a certain topic or how to approach an exam. Once I have analysed what they need, I will begin by creating a learning plan so that we can follow a timeline of each technique or topic they focus on. If they are still not understanding the subject, we will go back to basics and find different techniques that can accommodate to their learning and understanding.
