About Alex
I am a zoology student at Aberdeen university, I live with my two cats and a snake and spend my free time crocheting or helping out as a leader at scouts.
I have worked with a variety of age groups from 6-18 from the age of 14 when I first became a young leader at scouts and therefore I understand the differences that students can have when they are learning.
I am extremely passionate about biology and would love to be able to pass this onto other people

In the first session we will go over what you want to get out of tutoring, exam prep, study technique, homework help etc.
After this we will create a plan for our lessons going forward, this will include a mix of teaching and questions to test your current knowledge of an area and then we can expand on the teaching in school.
I feel that an understanding of how a student learns and that every student is different is crucial to supporting them through their educational career, biology specifically can have certain concepts that are difficult to understand and even imagine happening within the body.
I like to give students control about what is taught in their lessons, if they are needing to complete an assignment or have a test coming up they can come to me for support and consolidation of what they already know or go over new concepts that they are finding difficult to understand
