About Anum
I’m an experienced tutor who has taught primary and secondary aged students English Language and Literature up to A Level. Additionally, I have mentored university students on essay writing in Humanities and Social Sciences.
I’ve also taught language speaking skills to students with English as a foreign language.
I’m a master’s graduate from Cambridge’s Faculty of Education and before that I studied English at UCL, achieving First Class Honours

Depending on your specific needs and goals, I will develop a plan with you so that we can meet those objectives.
My style is open, patient and understanding, so there’s no need to worry if you’re not sure about something. These are your sessions and I will adapt to your pace and preferences.
I teach literacy, comprehension, creative writing, secondary school, English as a foreign language, and university level in humanities and social sciences.
Literacy: These lessons will revolve around developing reading, writing, speaking and comprehension skills.
11+ and entrance exams: I can help with comprehension, verbal reasoning and creative writing.
Secondary school: From GCSE exam prep to help with coursework and homework, I’ll provide the personalised attention you need to achieve your target grades and boost your confidence.
University entrance: I can assist with personal statements and interview prep.
University: I’ll help you plan your thesis or any other coursework, and can provide proofreading and feedback on written work.
English as a foreign language: If you’re not a native English speaker, I would love to practise conversational skills with you to improve your spoken English.
