Ken is really great! My opinion he is the best tennis instructor in the north Jersey area. I have been taking lessons with a few of tennis coaches. I love Ken's instruction best. With his instruction I play so much better right away. Ken instruction is very clear. He knows what I need to change in order to hit professionally. Ken's strategy is very helpful. Now I am able to beat some players who used to beat me badly. All my tennis friends are surprised the speed I am improving. I am very happy with him and looking forward to continue my lessons with Ken.

As an upcoming senior in high school, summer vacation is a busy time for me. I have to prepare for not only my upcoming school year, but also for college. I've only taken lessons with Ken for about 3 months, and the first thing I noticed was how kind and flexible he was to my schedule changes. No matter how last minute the schedule change is, he was always willing to comply with a smile. Not only is he extremely kind, but he is also very precise with correcting my form, even adjusting my racket angle the slightest bit if it'll help me improve my swing. Although I've played tennis for 5 years, he's immensely improved my game so that I could go into this year's season with new techniques and a better, more fluent swing. Ken is also very easy to talk to and will make the lesson fun by talking about whatever interests you as the student, whether it may be about politics or what you had for breakfast. Ken is an all-around great tennis teacher.

My kids ages 11 and 12 are taking lessons with Ken and he is a terrific coach. He is very patient and thorough when explaining any corrections. My kids have taken lessons through the local YMCA for 2 years, but I feel in just 2 lessons, their swing has greatly improved. I highly recommend Ken for lessons!

Coach Ken is a friendly, approachable, great Coach! His training and techniques are likely none i've had before. His Comments during the lesson have been very helpful. I did some research on it and it got good reviews. I then researched a number of coaches on the site and decided that Ken sounded like he is the right coach for me based upon his experience and the site reviews. I went with cautious optimism because I have worked with some good coaches and some bad coaches before. I'm not a great player, but know that it is possible for me to improve with the right coach.

I was very impressed with Ken. He is easy to talk to, and was very easy to work with. He started off with a warm up, which many coaches just skip over, probably figuring that you want to get in all of the time whacking the ball. Anyone who does that is not worth their salt because the warm-up is possibly one of the most important parts of the lesson.

After the warm up, we talked for a few minutes about my level of experience, my goals and what I felt were my weaknesses. We started working on backhand and I could see and feel improvement right off. Also, he was the first coach out of many who told me that the racquet I am using has too wide a grip for my hand. I researched the issue further (a bad habit of mine) and he's right. Ironically, I had bought the racquet from a previous coach who thought the racquet would be perfect for me.

The lesson was an hour, but I have to tell you that Ken was not looking to skimp on the time. I got there a little early and he was ready, so we started early and went up to and slightly over time until his next lesson arrived. He even commented that he does not worry about this as he will make up the additional time with his next lesson as well. I think it's nice that he was not nickel-and-dime'ing on the time as many other coaches do.

The only thing I think I might have done differently is that if I were evaluating someone, I probably would have spent a little more time evaluating during the first lesson the student's areas of weakness overall - kind of testing out all areas of play. But that's really a matter of personal style. I expect he is assuming (accurately so) that we will have other lessons where we can address other areas of play, and he preferred to spend time getting right to working on an area of weakness rather than simply evaluating everything at once.

I definitely recommend Ken as a coach - I don't think you will be disappointed.
