About Jacob
Hi, I’m Jacob, a Biology student at the University of Bath with a passion for helping students to understand and appreciate the natural world. I achieved A* in A-level Biology (Edexcel) and A grades in Geography and Business Studies, and I enjoy breaking down difficult concepts into simple, easy-to-understand explanations.
Having recently completed my own A-levels and university exams, I understand the challenges students face and can provide up-to-date guidance on both subject content and exam technique. My lessons are friendly, patient and tailored to each student’s needs, whether you’re aiming to improve your confidence, boost your grades, or prepare for exams.
I believe learning should be engaging and enjoyable, and I aim to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing their understanding.

I focus on breaking down complex topics into simple, easy-to-understand explanations and adapting lessons to each student’s needs. I believe understanding concepts is more effective than memorising facts, so I use diagrams, worked examples, practice questions, and active recall techniques to help students learn.

As a current university student, I have recent experience with GCSEs, A-levels, and university-level biology, allowing me to explain difficult concepts in a relatable and approachable way.
