About Manan
My name is Manan Gupta, and I am currently studying Aerospace Engineering at the University of Bristol. I have a strong academic background in Mathematics and Physics, having participated in prestigious competitions including the British Mathematical Olympiad, Ritangle, and the Physics Olympiad. Alongside this, I served as an organiser within my school’s Problem Solving Society during A-Levels, where I was responsible for designing challenging questions and guiding students through structured problem-solving approaches.
Through these experiences, I have developed not only a deep understanding of mathematical and physical concepts, but also the ability to explain them clearly and effectively. I focus on helping students understand the fundamentals, think logically, and approach difficult problems in a simple and methodical way. It is my goal to create an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and steadily improving their abilities by attempting problems they may find difficult without support.

I attempt to take an interactive and explorative approach to teaching allowing tutees to enjoy the lessons as well as understand the fundamental principles behind them. I believe that without having a strong foundational understanding it is impossible to solve harder and more complex problems and aim for the top grades available.
My lessons will usually last around an hour, focusing on targeting an individual's weak points and topics that are normally trickier to understand for most tutees.
For my A-Levels I took Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Computer Science achieving A*, A*, A, A respectively in each subject which allowed me to the University of Bristol Aerospace Engineering Course.
I am capable of teaching both GCSE and A-level students, who are aiming to improve their grades in Maths or Physics.
