About Luke
Hello, I'm Luke. I am 20 years old and recently just achieved AAA* Mathematics, Chemistry and Economics. Throughout A levels, I learnt a lot. Looking back retrospectively, it is definitely a slow burner and you can definitely make a difference in year 13, as I went from a grade C in economics at the end of year 12 to achieving an A*! Now I am at Bristol University studying Economics and Finance!

Hi, my name is Luke. I have always had a passion for teaching! Previously I tutored GCSE students for 2 years. I have always been interested in the subjects I teach as I recently just completed my A-level in the summer of 2024. What I’ve learned from completing my A levels is that they are definitely a slow burner. I have knowledge of Chemistry, Economics and Mathematics. I have good knowledge of the complimentary exam boards as the specifications and examiner's reports were my best friend during studying.
My teaching style is very attentive, I like to put myself in the student's shoes since I’ve done my exams so recently. My sessions can take two styles depending on what the student would prefer. One option is: me pre-planning lessons to on topics which the student has informed me they have trouble with. Running the lesson in a more teaching way answering questions as we move through the module. Then finally concluding with some exam question practice. Option 2 is: Where the student can take the lead; this is usually done during exam season when the student brings me exam questions and we go through them to understand the correct techniques and methods to score the highest in A-level exams.
