About Jessica
Hi there! My name is Jessica and I am a recent college graduate from University of California, Riverside where I graduated top of my class with a 4.0. I have been tutoring since 2022 and have had the chance to work with students in elementary, middle school, high school, and college. I also have gotten to work with students from all types of backgrounds and abilities. I am experienced in working with students with ADHD, learning disabilities, and students on the Autism Spectrum. My goal is to help students find confidence in their own math abilities through a balance of guided learning and independent practice. I’m aware that schoolwork can be a source of stress for many students. I hope to be a support that makes the process a bit easier by tailoring my tutoring to each student’s specific way of learning.

My lessons will launch directly from my students’ school work. I ask my students to bring any homework or notes they have from class so we have a starting point! From here, we can work on understanding what needs to be worked on and what the student already feels confident in. I love to create extra practice problems to work through with my students that are inspired by the questions in their school work. I find this best prepared my students for the types of questions they’ll see in their class! I am aware that different teachers and schools often have different ways of teaching math and it is important to me that my students know how to work with math in the way their teacher will be expecting so they can truly excel in their class!
