About Eleanor
I have recently graduated with a First class MSci. degree in Natural Sciences, specialising in Biochemistry, from The University of Cambridge. I studied A-level Biology, Chemistry and Maths, and achieved a 98% average.
I am friendly, approachable and enthusiastic. I have had previous experience in teaching as I volunteered for a year as an assistant for a lower school science class. This involved helping explain concepts to the pupils, aiding them in their work and answering their questions.
I will tailor my lessons to focus on the topics the student is finding particularly challenging, as well as covering the general content. As a learner, I have developed a range of strategies which I successfully use to develop my understanding or to hold onto a body of knowledge. I would be able to support the students to use similar strategies, such as reviewing learning and creating resources in order to increase learner autonomy. Furthermore, I would like to help the students improve their exam techniques by going through past paper questions, mark schemes and examiner reports.
