About Dr Lisa
Hello, I am a Doctor in Psychology and Behavioural Science from the University of Cambridge, where I completed my PhD within the Political Psychology Lab and the El-Erian Institute of Behavioural Economics and Policy. My doctoral research examined how elected politicians misperceive public support for climate policies and how evidence-based interventions can improve judgement in high-stakes institutional settings.
My doctoral studies were widely covered in leading international media, including interviews with The Guardian and Times Radio, which can be found on my LinkedIn profile. In recognition of the societal impact of my research, I was the recipient of the Policy Innovation Award from the Cambridge Centre for Science and Policy. I am regularly invited to deliver keynote talks and roundtables across government, parliament and corporate leadership, providing evidence-based behavioural insights.
My most recent research findings, for instance, were discussed by a Minister of State during a House of Commons session as featured on Parliament TV, contributed to UK Parliament’s Net Zero Select Committee evidence inquiry, and were cited in several government reports in the UK and European Commission. I was invited to Westminster to present my research to All-Party Parliamentary Groups, organised a high-level policy workshop at the Royal Society for Lords, Members of Parliament and senior government officials, and advised international policy collaborators extending my research across Europe. My expertise conducting research with strong translational impact and science communication experience engaging policy-makers at a high-level allow me to teach my students how to design, implement, critically discuss and present their studies across psychology topics in a way that meets competitive yet often nuanced academic standards.
Alongside my research, I am also employed by the University of Cambridge to officially supervise undergraduate students in STEMM subjects (Psychology specialisation). I am a highly qualified tutor with teaching training from the Cambridge University Centre for Teaching and Learning.
