I am a native Mandarin Chinese speaker and Seattle University graduate. I hold a professional Mandarin proficiency certificate, which demonstrates my strong command of standard Mandarin pronunciation and spoken Chinese.
Having studied and lived in both China and the United States, I understand the challenges English speakers may face when learning Chinese. I am patient, friendly, and passionate about helping students build confidence in Mandarin. My Chinese lessons are personalized to each student’s level, goals, and interests. Whether you are a complete beginner or already have some experience with Chinese, I can help you improve your pronunciation, speaking, listening, reading, and writing.
I especially focus on practical Mandarin that you can use in real-life conversations. We can work on correct pronunciation and tones, daily conversation, vocabulary, grammar, Chinese characters, or specific topics you are interested in.
My goal is to create a relaxed and encouraging learning environment where you feel comfortable speaking Chinese and making progress at your own pace. Lessons are available for children, teenagers, and adults of all levels.
