About Elle
Hi! My name is Miss Lena and I'm from Canada. I'm travelling in Australia right now while also teaching students around the world and I would love to get to know YOU!
Is there something you are struggling with in school right now or something that you would like to learn more about? I can help!
Back home, I've taught many different subjects to many different students. I love all subjects, but enjoy reading, writing, art, piano and singing the most.
Did you know? When I was in school, I had a tutor that helped me when I was struggling? Now, I am a teacher/tutor because someone else helped me be the best version I could be.
I love to learn but I also love to have fun. You can expect many interactive games and resources that will help you learn.
Remember, we are all special in our own ways. Asking for help is a brave step to take. We can learn hard things as long as we work together.

Techniques: I start each lesson by getting to know my students. A warm-up activity is included so that students are ready to learn. Frequent brain breaks are a must to ensure students stay on task. I utilize online teaching resources such as google classroom, Kahoot, ClassDojo (for classroom management/parent communication).
Typical length: Depending on topic of study/children age. Ranging from 60 mins-90 mins.
Qualifications: University of Alberta Generalist Degree.
Experience: Casual relief teacher in Melbourne, VIC, prep-grade 6. Full-time grade 6 teacher in Canada, all subjects. Part-time grade 5 teacher in Canada including science, social, health, religion, music, drama performance. Casual relief teacher in Canada, kindergarten to grade 12, all subjects, including music, drama, dance, band and art.
