About Joel
I’m a recent Psychology graduate from the University of Manchester with a lifelong passion for Maths and Physics. I studied both at A-Level and came to University to do Psychology because of the skills that I knew it would instill in me. I don’t believe that knowledge alone makes a good teacher - understanding (of both subject and student) and passion must be combined in order to teach any subject effectively. I’m extremely passionate about Maths and Physics, which might sound strange to you as you read this. But my job is to help you see the subjects through my eyes and appreciate the beauty in the formulae and laws that might at first seem quite dry.

Rather than just focusing on rote learning of formulae and laws, I endeavour to instill an intuitive understanding of the concepts and processes behind the formulae so that memorisation is not required. Lessons can be half an hour or an hour, although no longer as focus tends to diminish. I teach KS3, GCSE, and A-Level Maths and Physics - all specifications. First class is free.
