About Dr Zulfi
Over 25 years of experience with a PhD in Applied Linguistics and several roles as Lecturer, Senior Lecturer and Head of English. Particular focus on supporting international students studying at university in the UK. Currently working at a UK university supporting students with their academic literacy.
I teach because I love to support students to be the very best they can. I believe everyone has potential but there is often a time, place and catalyst to nurture the fruits of that potential. I believe one of my main priorities as a teacher is to work with students to find and develop their skills and talents.
I’m supportive and task oriented and believe that structure and practice help develop students’ work. I am also unfailingly optimistic and invest my heart and soul into your set goals as if they were my own.

Bespoke lessons tailored to your specific needs to support you to be a successful student at university. I focus on trying to support you to become a more independent student that can think and take action for yourself over time.
I have a keen interest in supporting part-time, mature and international students who may work and think in different ways due to their other committments. I passionately believe in education for all and would love the opportunity to play a part in supporting you to achieve your university goals.
Lessons: 30 minutes and 60 minutes.
Able to provide feedback on written drafts over longer periods online as written drafts evolve.
