I was taught by Matthew when I took his class back in Monash University. He gives specific constructive criticism that outlines exactly what a student needs to improve on. He also takes the time and energy to improve and make sure that students have a great learning experience. Overall, I would recommend Matthew because he is a very thoughtful and passionate tutor.

Before I joined Matthew’s book club, I was just another person who enjoyed the casual read and occasional tv binge of some of my favourite tv series. But when Matthew introduced book club to me, it completely changed the way I consumed these novels and serials. His strong passion and knowledge for film and written literature, coupled with his eagerness to share and impart knowledge made everything so enjoyable. He’s encouraging without being pushy; intellectual without patrionizing. Now, as I re-watch some of my favourite serials or re-read some of my favourite books, it’s as though I’m encountering them for the first time in a brand new light and understanding. I’d highly recommend him as a tutor. He definitely checks all the boxes in everything a tutor should be.
