About Emily
Throughout school, I used to teach younger students maths as well as students in lower sets in my year group. It was my duty as the Maths prefect to organise and execute these lessons. Now that I have completed my degree specialising in Microeconomics, I have strengthen my maths skills to a high level. I managed to achieve full marks in both Maths and Statistics GCSE so I believe I can help to you/ your child to work towards the same goal!

My teaching method is a collaborative approach to learning. After closely analysing the syllabus that you/ your child is working through, I will strategically plan the topics and dates so that we can cover everything in an efficient manner, leaving enough time for past paper revision. If you want a more flexible arrangement, for example a particular topic, I can research this prior to the lesson and we can work through targeted questions for the specific syllabus. If your child is younger (primary school), I can also create fun maths games to help with engagement and enjoyment. My passion and enthusiasm for maths helps to eliminate the perception of it being a chore. My aim throughout the lessons is to facilitate their learning in a way that they can implement the skills they've learnt with me easily by themselves. Hopefully this will ease their stress and they can enjoy school even more!
