About Magdalena

I am currently studying Mathematics at Cardiff University. I have shown outstanding results in maths, and I have taken part in the British Physics Olympiad in 2021 and the Senior Maths Olympiad in 2022, where I have been awarded a silver award for both.

- I have tutored maths at many levels (KS2 to GCSE), over 1000 hours taught across six years.
- I am experienced in different exam boards such as AQA or Edexcel, even Edexcel IGCSE
- Each one of my students has made significant progress in the subject, shown through increased confidence and better exam grades (many students surpassed their predicted mark).

About the lesson

I'm a strong believer that practice makes progress. It's often the case that students don't do well in maths because they aren't given enough practice questions and enough time to make mistakes and learn from them. That's why I ensure that my students fully understand a topic and are comfortable with a range of questions, before moving on to another topic. I like to use the 2-8 rule, where for every two example questions we go over, the student should do at least 8 practice questions.
