About Julius
I am someone who simply loves tutoring! I was an A+ Maths student at school, scored perfect scores for both Maths subjects and achieved an ATAR of 99.50. This helped me get a scholarship to the University of Melbourne where I completed a Bachelor of Engineering and Bachelor Commerce graduating with honours.
I have 5 years tutoring experience at primary, secondary and tertiary levels in a variety of formats including one-on-ones, small groups of 2 - 4 and classes of 5 to 20 students. I have also spent a year teaching English in Japan!
I love watching students grow as they learn new concepts and overcome the issues that have held them back previously. I love seeing their self-belief improve as they realise that they can achieve what they previously thought wasn't possible.

My teaching methodology focuses on understanding the "Why?" behind concepts and building a rock solid understanding of the principles behind what is being taught. (This is because if you truly understand the principles well, you'll be able to apply them to solve any problem). I find my approach can differ to to what is taught in schools - which seems to be more about "memorising a process".
I am currently looking to tutor years 5-10 and generally do 1 hour lessons.
