About Xavier
I am an Electronic and Computer Engineering graduate from the University of Nottingham with a strong passion for maths, physics, and problem solving. Throughout my degree I worked extensively with applied mathematics, electronics, mechanics, programming, and analytical thinking, giving me both theoretical understanding and practical real-world experience.
I have always enjoyed helping others understand difficult concepts in a clear and approachable way. I understand that subjects like maths and physics can often feel overwhelming when taught too quickly or without enough explanation, so I focus on making lessons logical, patient, and easy to follow.
I am friendly, calm, and professional in my teaching approach, and I aim to create an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing confidence. My goal is not only to help students improve academically, but also to help them feel more capable and motivated in the subject overall.
I teach GCSE and A-Level Maths and Physics lessons online across the UK and tailor lessons to suit each student’s learning style and goals.

My lessons are designed to be clear, engaging, and tailored to each student’s individual needs and goals. I focus on helping students properly understand topics rather than simply memorising formulae or methods, as this leads to much stronger long-term confidence and exam performance.
At the beginning of lessons, I identify the areas the student finds difficult and adapt the session accordingly. I explain concepts step-by-step in a simple and logical way before moving onto worked examples and exam-style questions. I encourage students to ask questions throughout the lesson so that gaps in understanding can be addressed immediately.
Lessons typically include:
Clear explanations of key concepts
Worked examples and guided problem solving
Past paper practice and exam technique
Revision support and study strategies
Building confidence with challenging topics
I teach GCSE and A-Level Maths and Physics and can support students of different abilities, whether they are aiming to improve grades, prepare for exams, or strengthen their understanding of core topics.
A typical lesson lasts around 60 minutes, although longer sessions can be arranged if needed. I aim to create a calm and supportive environment where students feel comfortable learning at their own pace while still making consistent progress.
