About Muhammad Akram
I am a well qualified and experienced chemistry teacher with University and college students. When I was studying A-level I was top in my class and won the first year sixth form prize for chemistry and got grade A in my A-level chemistry. I am familiar with A-level syllabuses and have given many online tutorials with Spires Tutoring Agency to A-level and University students solving exam type questions to get good grades. I love chemistry and especially organic chemistry. I know my periodic table by heart and well familiar with general trend and properties of elements. I have always given some free extra time during my tutorials. During Covid-19 I gave lectures online using Zoom.

I am an enthusiastic and passionate chemistry tutor holding qualifications of BSc (Hons), MSc, PhD (Sheffield University), PGCE, QTS (Sheffield Hallam University). I was appointed as a lecturer at Sheffield Hallam after completing after teaching at Kuwait University for 10 years after completing my PhD. During my teaching career at Sheffield Hallam I have taught organic chemistry (lectures and laboratory classes), NMR, IR, MS spectroscopy, at all levels and Foundation Chemistry. I have part time online teaching experience in GCSE and A-Level chemistry with Spires Tutoring as a tutor giving 1-2h tutorials. I know the periodic table by heart which I learnt as a first year undergraduate at Sheffield University. I also have vast experience in research in organic synthesis and spectroscopic techniques. I have given public lectures to schools and colleges during science week to promote science and engineering.
