Showed up to every class energetic and happy to be there. The most charismatic teacher I've had in my years of college. At my past school, professors seemed like they were there to weed out students who had a hard time in the class. Prof. Lane truly wanted every student to excel in the class. Laid out each chapter so it was both informative and easy to grasp for everyone. 12/10 would easily recommend to future students.

Dr. Lane is the kind of professor students remember long after the semester ends. Having grown up in a family of educators, I have seen many different teaching styles, and I know how unusual it is to find someone who combines subject knowledge, enthusiasm, patience, and genuine concern for students as naturally as he does.

Even in an evening class, Dr. Lane brought remarkable energy to the room. His lectures were never passive or mechanical. He encouraged discussion, asked questions, and connected abstract concepts to current technology and real situations. That approach made the material feel relevant rather than merely academic, and it helped the class understand not only how something worked, but why it mattered.

What impressed me most was his commitment outside the formal lecture. When a student needed additional help, he stayed after class and explained the material from different angles until the confusion was resolved. The late hour never seemed to matter, and he never treated questions as an inconvenience. His patience made it much easier to admit when something was unclear and keep working until it clicked.

Dr. Lane sets a very high standard for teaching. I would gladly take another course with him and would recommend him to any student looking for an instructor who is knowledgeable, engaging, and sincerely invested in their success.
