About Ellen
After completing my Ph.D. in Biology, I was a research scientist in the field of Parkinson's Disease and then became a lecturer professor in Biochemistry and Molecular and Cellular Biology. I will simplify complex topics to help you genuinely understand the material and succeed in your class.

My teaching method is tailored for each individual student and their needs. In a typical lesson, I will provide slides to help the student study and learn the material in a concise way. I will go over these slides and any questions that my student has. After our lesson, I will provide further study materials/example test questions to prepare the student further. I have been teaching Introductory Biology, Advanced Molecular and Cellular Biology Laboratory, and Biochemistry Laboratory courses for 18 years, so I know what knowledge is required/expected to succeed at the college level or in advanced placement courses.
