About Melanie
I have a Ph.D. in Latin American Literatures from Stanford University and am a Full Professor at University of Puerto Rico. I am in Italy for personal reasons. I have taught Language at Stanford, FIT, NYU. I am also a professional translator from Italian, English, French and Portuguese, besides Spanish. Depending on the text, I can also translate into English.

The objective of my methodology is for the student to acquire proficiency. We create situations to produce language in context. Grammar functions as a monitor. The student must have a basic knowledge of grammar to be able to self correct his or her production of language.
