About Samuel
I am a student at the University of Waterloo with a strong academic background and a passion for helping students succeed. I have experience supporting younger students with their schoolwork and understand how to explain concepts in a clear, simple, and patient way.
I specialize in working with students in Grades 1–8 across subjects like math, English, and general homework support. I focus on building confidence, improving understanding, and creating a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions.
Being a current student myself, I stay familiar with modern teaching methods and curriculum expectations. My goal is to not only help students improve their grades, but also develop strong study habits and a more positive attitude toward learning.

I offer personalized tutoring for students in Grades 1–8 across all subjects, including math, English, and homework support. Each lesson is tailored to the student’s learning style, pace, and school curriculum to ensure they fully understand the material and build confidence.
My sessions focus on explaining concepts clearly, practicing problems together, and helping students develop strong study habits. I aim to create a supportive and patient learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes.
I also provide homework help, test preparation, and regular progress updates so parents can track improvement. Lessons can be held online or in person, depending on what works best.
My goal is not just to improve grades, but to help students become more independent and confident learners over time.

Do you ever struggle on grammar and punctuation mistakes? if so, Samuel is the perfect person to help! I've had him before and he's really good at explaining things you don't understand clearly. Back then, I didn't know much about English but he has helped me progress slowly to make sure I don't miss any mistakes about my writing.
I highly recommend Samuel as an English tutor. He is patient, kind, and genuinely approachable, creating a welcoming and positive environment that makes it easy to communicate openly. In his teaching, Samuel explains concepts clearly and thoroughly, and he takes the time to listen to any concerns or challenges you may have. His thoughtful feedback and practical advice support your growth and make the learning process both effective and encouraging.
Highly recommend Samuel as an all-round tutor! The patience and ability to work around different learning styles show how much he values his students' success. The lessons mainly centred around math and English. He always demonstrated a thorough grasp of concepts and could explain complex problems with ease.
