About Noah
Currently I am a psychology student so piano teaching is a hobby and something I do because I wish to pass on my knowledge and my mindset of playing on to others. I have been learning how to play the piano since I was the age of 9, 11 years ago. It started off rough, I didn't have much motivation in practising, however, as I went further and deeper within my learnings, I found an internal drive to practice pieces for exams or for leisure. Therefore, I believe my methods of teaching involves a lot of back and forth discussion between me and my student concerning how they feel when they practice, I also believe I can empathise with students who struggle to find the motivation to sit down and practice.

From my past experiences, my teaching techniques are focused on fundamentals as well as being orderly. I involve a lot of discussion for example how is the student feeling with a certain practice methodology, is the student enjoying their time practicing or learning. In terms of tertiary qualifications, I have not taken music as a subject of learning, therefore my ability to teach is limited to students whose skills range from beginner to intermediate. The usual length of the lesson would depend on the age of the student. Usually the younger students suit 30 minute lessons more than 1 hour lessons. Older students would benefit more from 1 hour lessons.
