I'm a passionate Maths teacher at a local college in Zimbabwe with a BSc. Degree in Maths and Statistics. I enjoy passing on knowledge to both young and mature minds in a vibrant and captivating way. In lesson delivery, I believe the environment you create as a teacher determines the way students will engage and grasp the concepts shared. In my classes, in order to "humanize" mathematics, I offer real-life situations of the concepts at hand so that through empirical and practical ways, students get to see math in real life. For example, when teaching Trigonometry, specifically Trig Ratios, I offer real-life examples of how angles can be calculated and how other geometry concepts can be applied to real-life situations, like construction and architecture. This opens up the minds of my students as they won't just see numbers on a page, but mathematics come alive in real-life situations.
