About VIVIEN

I’m Vivien, a native Mandarin speaker and early childhood educator based in Sydney. With a Bachelor of Business and experience supporting children’s learning, I bring patience, professionalism and clear communication to help students feel comfortable, build confidence and make progress.

About the lesson

Learning Mandarin should be engaging, practical and rewarding. I tailor each lesson to your interests, ability and goals, helping you build confidence and use Chinese in everyday situations.

My lessons combine guided conversation, pronunciation and Pinyin practice, useful vocabulary, and reading and writing at your level. For children, I use stories, songs, games and visual activities to make learning enjoyable. For older students and adults, I focus on practical conversations and clear explanations, with plenty of opportunities to practise.

Lessons typically run for 60 minutes, with shorter 30–45 minute sessions available for younger learners.

I am a native Mandarin speaker based in Sydney, with professional experience in Australian early childhood education and a Bachelor of Business in Accounting. My work as an educator has strengthened my ability to explain concepts clearly, adapt to different learning needs and create a patient, encouraging environment.

My lessons are suitable for children, teenagers and adults at beginner to intermediate levels, including families who want their children to develop or maintain their Chinese language skills. Lessons are available in Sydney and online.
