About Sadiyah
I am confident in my tutoring skills with 4 years of experience. Initially struggling with General Chemistry 1 in my first year at Howard, I transformed my study methods and excelled as the top student in General Chemistry 2. I am passionate about helping students, particularly students of color, as I believe a deeper student-teacher connection enhances understanding. My tutoring approach is centered on guided practice problems and using drawings to make concepts clear. I start each session by addressing the student's most pressing issue and test them periodically to ensure understanding. I always go back over any topics they struggle with. With A's in all my biology and organic chemistry courses, I share my resources, including notes and study videos. What sets me apart is being the tutor I always wanted, one who helps offer a different avenue of understanding. I offer tutoring in general sciences, basic mathematics, algebra, high school and college-level chemistry, college-level organic chemistry, biochemistry, and genetics.
