• Tell us more about your subject. How did you develop an interest in this field?

  My subject of focus is computer science, a field that has always fascinated me because of its dynamic nature and potential to drive real-world change. Growing up, I was curious about how computers worked and wanted to understand the mechanisms behind software and technology. This curiosity led me to explore programming, eventually fueling my passion to not only master it but also share it with others as a teacher.

• What or who is the motivation behind you choosing to teach, and why?

  My motivation for teaching comes from a blend of my love for technology and my desire to empower others. Teaching is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in students' lives by equipping them with essential skills that open doors to various careers. Seeing students grasp complex concepts and grow in confidence keeps me motivated every day.

• How does your work help society?

  My work helps society by preparing students for a future driven by technology. Through teaching, I help students develop critical skills in problem-solving, creativity, and logical thinking, which are vital not just in tech careers but in any field. By fostering a love for learning and innovation, I'm contributing to a more knowledgeable and adaptable generation.

• If you had to think of a role model for your work, who do you think of & why?

  I look up to people like Alan Turing, whose foundational work in computing has shaped our modern world. Turing's dedication, despite the many obstacles he faced, is inspiring. His ability to persevere and contribute groundbreaking ideas to the field of computer science motivates me to strive for excellence and to encourage my students to think critically and creatively.

• Tell us about your hobbies outside teaching.

  Outside of teaching, I enjoy exploring new technologies, experimenting with graphic design, and cooking. These hobbies allow me to stay connected to my field while also enjoying activities that offer a fresh perspective and relaxation.

• Do you have an anecdote to tell us about your student or professional life?

  One memorable experience was working with a student who struggled with programming basics. They were initially frustrated and felt like giving up, but with consistent support and encouragement, they eventually developed a real interest in coding. By the end of the year, they had not only mastered the basics but had also created a project they were proud of. Moments like these remind me of the impact teaching can have and how persistence can help students overcome their own perceived limitations.
