About Mieka
My name is Mieka, and I am super excited to be your new musical theater coach! Having been in the world of stage drama since the age of six, I have really seen the power of performance through my experiences on stage. Some of my greatest productions I've been a part of include The Sound of Music, Hairspray, Little Shop of Horrors, and I'm dying to share my passion with you! My lessons are not limited to strengthening vocal technique; I also teach the application of action through song, the presence of stage garnishing, and audition preparation, all towards making you that confident and versatile performer. I train beginners to intermediate students and offer private, group, and audition prep lessons according to one's need. My approach to teaching is highly supportive, energizing, and aimed at promoting personal growth as a singer and an actor. Be it fine-tuning one's technique, catching that next role, or just exploring the whole world of musical theater, I'm right there with you every step of the way. Let's perform magic in the classroom. I direct my teaching lessons toward helping students achieve their vocal maximum potential while teaching them in a lighthearted supportive atmosphere that encourages inspiration. My teaching curriculum focuses on developing students' confidence together with voice technique mastery and emotional vocal delivery to help each student discover their authentic singing presentation.
I provide vocal instruction to teach singers of every experience level starting from beginners who want to discover their voice up to advanced singers getting ready for auditions and shows. Lessons I provide to my students incorporate vocal warm-up exercises along with breathing techniques together with pitch and tone practice followed by repertoire selection and lessons to improve stage delivery.
The uniqueness in my teaching stems from my storytelling skill through songs combined with my flexible teaching methods which help students attain confident performer status. I provide lessons which will empower you to grow forward with excitement about singing whether you hope to become a professional musician or simply sing for enjoyment.
