Happy to share a bit about myself and my tutoring here!
I began tutoring math in grade 9, and since then I have supported students in grade 9, 10, and 11 math. Over the years, I’ve found that what students need most is not just solutions, but guidance that builds confidence and helps them see the bigger picture of how math and physics connect.
I’m currently in my third year of the Astrophysics Specialist program at the University of Toronto, with a Minor in Mathematics, and I’ve maintained strong academic standing throughout. Beyond classes, I am also involved in the university community as part of the executive teams for both the Physics Club and the Undergraduate Astronomy Association, which has given me more opportunities to mentor, collaborate, and share my passion for science.
My coursework has given me a solid foundation across physics, math, and astronomy, including:
MAT102: Introduction to Mathematical Proofs
MAT135: Differential Calculus
MAT136: Integral Calculus
MAT223: Linear Algebra I
MAT232: Calculus of Several Variables
MAT244: Differential Equations I
PHY136: Introduction to Physics I
PHY137: Introduction to Physics II
PHY245: Vibrations and Waves
PHY324: Advanced Physics Laboratories
JCP221: Thermodynamics
AST110: Night Sky Observing
AST221: Planets, Sun and Stars
AST222: Galaxies and the Universe
AST252: Life in the Universe
AST320: Stellar Astrophysics
Jcp321: Quantum Mechanics I: Foundations
I’ve always been passionate about sharing knowledge, whether through tutoring or leading study groups. I believe that learning is most effective when students feel supported and engaged, and I strive to create an open environment where questions are encouraged and challenges are worked through together. For me, the end goal is not just to “get through the homework,” but to help students build strong foundations and a lasting curiosity for knowledge.
My goal as a tutor is to create an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, make meaningful progress at their own pace, and ultimately see math and physics not just as difficult subjects, but as powerful tools for understanding the world.

Vedika is a great instructor! She makes sure you fully understand each concept before moving on to more challenging material. I really appreciate how flexible she is in her teaching methods; she adapts to your needs, explains things clearly and concisely, and takes the time to answer questions or clear up any misunderstandings.
With her guidance, we were able to target my weaknesses and improve them significantly. I highly recommend Vedika as a tutor!Vedika is an amazing teacher and super hardworking! She always makes sure that students grasp the concepts and are able to apply them before she moves onto the next lesson. I’ve only had the best experience with her and would recommend her as my first choice teacher to anyone!
