About Michael
I'm a Toronto-based tutor with an unusual background: I studied Human Biology at the University of Toronto, completed three years of medical school, and then transitioned into Computer Science, graduating with a 4.0 GPA in 2024.
That combination means I bring both deep scientific knowledge and strong analytical thinking to every lesson. I currently work in healthcare technology, which keeps me sharp and connected to how science and systems actually work in practice.
I'm patient, structured, and direct. I don't believe in just giving students answers; I'd rather make sure you leave each session genuinely understanding the material, because that's what actually shows up on exams. I've been a student at a high level myself, so I know what it feels like to be overwhelmed, and I know how to cut through the noise and get to what matters.

I studied Human Biology at the University of Toronto and completed three years of medical school before transitioning into Computer Science, which means I understand biology the way your professors do, not just the way textbooks present it.
My lessons are built around your specific course material and exam goals. I focus on conceptual understanding first, if you know why something works, memorization becomes much easier. I use a mix of concept walkthroughs, past exam questions, and Socratic questioning to make sure you actually understand the material rather than just recognizing it.
I work well with undergrad students in first and second year biology, anatomy, physiology, and pre-med prerequisites. Whether you're preparing for an exam, catching up on missed material, or just trying to finally understand cell signaling or the Krebs cycle, I've been there, and I can help.
