About Vaibhav Bedi
Hi, I am Vaibhav Bedi, a chemistry Ph.D. student from the University of Toronto. I always believe that a teacher is the most important person in shaping a person's life. I am pursuing a Ph.D. because I was motivated by my teachers to pursue research. On the same page, I consider my students as my friends and try to inculcate an environment where a student is always ready to ask curious questions and discuss various aspects including science and even beyond it. I try to keep things really informal so that students do not hesitate in any sort of help they want from me.

I make my personalized notes for teaching which constitute my experience and knowledge from my undergrad and Ph.D. journey. I would usually start with something basic like why reactions happen in chemistry, and what are real-life examples of a phenomenon and try to design my class so that students need not mug up stuff but they can understand the concept. I also teach at UofT, therefore I have realized that students learn much better when we teachers are more friendly with them and can relate to their problems and doubts in a fun way. Therefore, I keep proceedings pretty informal and light which makes the student feel that they are with a friend and not with a stubborn teacher. The lessons can be for undergrads and high school students.
