About Shafwat
Having been part of a small high school, I often had the opportunity to do a lot of mentorship. I was the captain of our robotics team where I trained a lot of new members and taught younger students a lot of engineering concepts. I was also a peer tutor throughout high school, these experiences made me realize that I really enjoyed teaching.
I am now finishing my 2nd year at the University Of Toronto mechanical engineering, I would love to inspire students that are interested in such a field.

My lesson plan is typically based off of the textbooks, I am flexible to adjusting it according to the students' needs. As a former high school student myself, I do realize that a math textbook is typically a difficult resource for most students to use effectively as it can get rather confusing. I am here to make that process easier.
My priority is that the students are able to properly grasp and understand the concepts they are being taught. I focus on not only the "how to do it" part of STEM but also the "why it works how it does" part of it.
My lessons will also include on the practical and applied reasons for learning the concepts, STEM is a lot more interesting when the student can really see why the concepts are important. I am looking to tutor students from grades 9 - 12.
