About Annie
I'm a friendly, approachable, and passionate Chinese Language tutor with nearly one year of experience teaching at Malaysia secondary school and five years of private tutoring experience.
I graduated from Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI), Malaysia, with a Bachelor's Degree in Chinese Language Education. I also have experience teaching Secondary 1–4 students at Catholic High School, Petaling Jaya.
I believe that learning Chinese should be fun, meaningful, and connected to everyday life! Instead of simply asking students to memorize vocabulary and textbook content, I enjoy using storytelling, real-life experiences, and relatable examples to make Chinese easier to understand and remember.
I focus on teaching useful vocabulary, phrases, and sentence structures that students can apply not only in examinations but also in daily conversations and real-life situations.
As a friendly and engaging tutor, I aim to create a relaxed and enjoyable learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, sharing their thoughts, and learning from their mistakes.
Nothing makes me happier than seeing my students gain confidence, overcome their learning difficulties, and discover that Chinese is not as challenging as they thought.
My goal: Learn Chinese with understanding, not just memorization.
I look forward to making Chinese learning an enjoyable and rewarding journey with you all!

My teaching approach focuses on storytelling and real-life examples to help students better understand Chinese passages, vocabulary, and complex concepts. I believe that learning Chinese should be engaging and meaningful rather than simply memorizing textbook content.
I adapt my teaching methods according to each student's learning pace, strengths, and areas for improvement. For essay writing, I encourage students to draw inspiration from their personal experiences and incorporate them into their compositions, making their writing more authentic and engaging.
For examination preparation, including SPM Chinese, I focus on vocabulary development, reading comprehension, essay-writing techniques, and practicing past-year examination questions.
Lessons typically last 60–120 min (online or physical), depending on the student's learning needs.
Holding Bachelor's Degree in Chinese Language Education from Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI), Malaysia (CGPA: 3.43)
