About Lyra
I have 3 years of guitar teaching experience and a Bachelor of Music in Composition with a guitar emphasis. I also compose and perform regularly, which informs my lessons. My philosophy is that music is a creative and lifelong skill. I specialize in acoustic fingerstyle and classical guitar. I teach both beginners and advanced students, guiding them toward technical skill and expressive depth. Lessons emphasize intricate arrangements, phrasing, and musical storytelling. I balance structured exercises with opportunities for creativity and exploration. Students gain confidence, fluency, and personal expression on the guitar.
