About Serenity
Hi! My name is Serenity, and I’m a freshman at the University of Texas at Dallas majoring in Business Administration. I’m passionate about helping students improve their English skills while also working to support my college education. I scored a 4 on both the AP English Language and AP English Literature exams, and have also earned 3s and 4s on AP exams in Human Geography, World History, U.S. History, Macroeconomics, Biology, U.S. Government, and Statistics. As someone who recently completed these courses, I can empathize with the challenges of preparing for AP exams. I want to make that process easier for students, especially for those who don't have a lot of resources. While I’m new to tutoring, I’ve chosen to focus on English because it’s where I feel most confident and where I believe I can make the biggest impact.

Teaching Method & Techniques:
In our first session (free), we’ll complete a practice exam to assess your current skills and areas for growth.
I’ll then create a customized learning plan, based on a flexible syllabus that adapts to your goals and strengths.
The first two sessions are free—one for assessment, and one for you to experience my teaching style and decide if it’s a good fit.
My Approach:
Rather than just drills and worksheets, I believe in a project-based, long-term learning experience. Alongside practice essays and reading assignments, you'll be building a portfolio based around a topic or book of your choice. This portfolio will include analytical essays, creative responses, and mini-projects that will deepen your understanding and make learning more personal and engaging.
