About Simon
I am a 28 year old current postgraduate Medical student at UWA. I am a very results-oriented person. Originally from Adelaide, SA where I completed two undergraduate degrees where I maintained a very competitive GPA (Health Science - Anatomical Science, Neuroscience and Pathology), (Psychological Science - Psychology, Philosophy). During this time I also operated a small carpentry and tiling business doing kitchen and bathroom renovations that employed and trained a small staff.

My teaching methodology involves using a copy of the curriculum and an understanding of the students weaker points to but small and achievable short term goals. I find many people struggle to grasp concepts because there is a lack of time dedicated to building the context or narrative structure around the subject matter. Students are too often encouraged to learn things in a step-by-step process without properly appreciating how and why things have been defined the way they are. This creates a perception of a task being too large or complicated to understand which leads to a lot of confusion and time wasted trying to orient themselves to the problem.
