About Lucienne
I am a dedicated flute tutor with 8 years of experience teaching High School, College students, and adults, having successfully taught around 300 students. My teaching philosophy is to provide lessons that are engaging, personalised, and rewarding.
I emphasise technical skill, tone, rhythm, music theory, and performance practice, while fostering creativity, expression, and confidence. I believe learning the flute is a journey that combines discipline, joy, and self-expression.
Many of my students have performed in concerts, competitions, and school or college events, achieving milestones that showcase their growth. I strive to create a supportive and inspiring learning environment, helping students develop skill, confidence, and a lifelong passion for music while discovering their unique musical voice.

My flute teaching methodology is flexible, student-centred, and interactive. I adapt lessons according to each student’s learning style and pace while maintaining clear and encouraging communication.
I explain flute techniques such as breath support, tone development, finger coordination, articulation, and rhythm in a step-by-step and easy-to-understand way. Lessons include demonstrations and listening exercises to suit different learners.
I use real-life musical examples and case studies to show how flute skills are applied in recordings and live performances. This helps students connect lessons to real music.
In addition to flute, I teach music theory, ear training, rhythm training, scale development, sight reading, and basic improvisation. I also help students develop expressive playing and disciplined practice habits.
