About Leona
I am a Year 6 Tutor and have been a teacher for 10 years (some of this time as a deputy headteacher and assistant headteacher).
For years I have prepared children for the KS2 SATs. Regardless of a pupil's perceived ability, with me they feel confident and successful in their learning. I work at a child's own pace and break the learning into manageable chunks.
I have been a mentor and tutor to newly qualified teachers and to teachers completing their teacher training - I love to see people succeed!

I have a solid understanding of the National Curriculum and easily identify children's gaps in their learning to plan sessions around what they need to become confident pupils.
My sessions last one hour, including assessment time. My sessions give children the tools they need to be successful in moving on to the next stage in their education.
