About Casey
I have a Degree in Interactive Media and Design and have worked for a major company as a Software Tester. I also have training in Full Stack Development.
I teach beginner level programming because when I was a kid I wanted to learn programming but I couldn't understand the basics and I learned what I needed to know to allow me to start in the world of programming and I would like to pass down that knowledge to others.

My lessons are built in four phases:
The first phase is a list of objectives that give us a clear goal on what you are wanting to learn and gives us a focus for the lesson.
The second phase is a snip-it of code to show examples of what the code should look like so that during the lecture and the practice lesson you know how it should look so that when it is your turn you have a good example to work off of.
The third phase is a small lecture on the topic. This is the main lesson plan for the topic(s) you want to learn. we will be going over each subject in two major ways as many people fit into two categories: The Mathematician and the Designer. First we will talk about the logics of the subject as it pertains to software, then we will talk about it in a more creative way such as an object in the real world.
The fourth phase is a guided practice where the focus is on the student getting the work done so they can feel how it is done. This makes it so that you get physical practice needed to do the work in your own time.
I help teach you to understand programming so that you can learn software without needing years of studying.
I can teach you what you need to know to make Video Games for fun or if you are looking to learn a skill set to make some money.
My teaching is best for beginners or those who want a refresher course.
