About Thuyen
I’m teaching you not only as a Vietnamese speaker, but also as a fellow language learner. I’ve self-learned Mandarin, a little bit of Cantonese and Bahasa. I can communicate comfortably in Mandarin.
What’s interesting is that I didn’t study in any international school and I didn’t speak with foreigners until I was 22, yet over time I developed the English you hear today. Because of that experience, I truly understand the challenges and joys of learning a new language. I hope to accompany you on your learning journey and help you overcome some challenges in learning Vietnamese - which is not an easy language.

I believe that learning a language through culture, cuisine, and stories makes it much more interesting and memorable. When words are connected to real experiences, your brain naturally creates associations, and the language becomes much easier to absorb.
Our lessons will focus on language used in daily life rather than textbook language, so you can develop a more natural way of speaking in context.
