About Ruby
My interest in violin began through admiration for orchestral music, emotional storytelling, and artistic performance. This passion inspired me to complete a Master’s Degree in Violin Pedagogy, where I explored teaching methods, performance techniques, and musical interpretation in greater depth. During the past 5 years, I have guided students from different backgrounds through lessons that feel warm, motivating, and creatively supportive.
I enjoy helping students feel more confident with their instrument and overcome the uncertainty that often comes with learning violin. My teaching philosophy focuses on patience, healthy technique, and musical expression because every learner develops differently. Some students improve through structured technical exercises, while others gain confidence through interpretation and creative exploration. I carefully adapt lessons to create a supportive environment where learners feel encouraged consistently.
Outside teaching, I continue exploring violin repertoire, chamber music, and performance traditions to keep my lessons inspiring and engaging. Staying connected to music helps me bring practical performance ideas and artistic creativity into lessons. I want students to improve not only technically but also emotionally through stronger confidence and musical connection. Helping learners discover individuality and expression through violin remains one of the most rewarding parts of my teaching journey.

My violin lessons are designed to help students build strong musical habits through structured practice and encouraging guidance. I teach bow coordination, finger placement, rhythm control, tone production, intonation, vibrato, and musical interpretation using methods that make learning feel approachable and rewarding. Lessons focus on helping students understand the relationship between technical control and emotional expression instead of relying only on repetition. I create a calm learning environment where learners feel comfortable improving steadily at their own pace.
Each lesson is personalized according to the student’s experience level, musical interests, and long-term goals. Beginners receive patient support with posture, hand coordination, open-string exercises, and note reading, while advanced learners strengthen phrasing, technical precision, and expressive performance. I include scales, listening activities, duet exercises, and interpretation practice that help students improve naturally over time. Students preparing for auditions or stage performances receive additional support with confidence-building and preparation techniques.
I believe violin becomes more meaningful when students feel emotionally connected to the music they perform. My lessons aim to replace frustration with enjoyment through patient explanation and steady encouragement. Many learners gradually become more disciplined, expressive, and comfortable performing as their understanding improves. My goal is to help students build strong violin foundations while developing confidence and creativity that support lifelong musical growth.
