About Ruby
My connection with the violin began through a love for expressive melodies and the unique voice of string instruments. This passion led me to complete a Bachelor’s Degree in Music followed by a Master’s Degree in String Performance. During my 7 years of teaching experience, I have worked with students from beginner to advanced levels.
I believe effective teaching combines encouragement, structure, and adaptability. Each learner has a different musical journey, so I adjust my approach to support individual strengths and challenges. I enjoy helping students discover new abilities while building confidence through consistent progress.
Outside teaching, I spend time studying violin repertoire, attending performances, and exploring different interpretations of classical works. These experiences enrich my lessons and provide fresh inspiration. Helping students grow into confident and expressive musicians continues to be one of the most rewarding aspects of my career.

My violin lessons focus on creating a strong technical foundation while helping students enjoy the musical journey. We work on posture, bow control, intonation, rhythm development, tone production, and listening skills through clear and practical instruction. I believe steady progress comes from understanding small details and building confidence one step at a time.
As students advance, we explore shifting, vibrato, articulation, musical phrasing, and performance preparation. Lessons are tailored to individual goals and learning styles so every student receives guidance that matches their needs. Regular exercises and targeted feedback help learners improve accuracy while developing greater musical expression.
I encourage students to approach learning with patience and curiosity. Every lesson is designed to strengthen confidence, independence, and enjoyment. My goal is to help learners become comfortable performers and thoughtful musicians who appreciate both the technical and artistic sides of violin playing.
