About Jessica
My name is Jessica, (which means "blessed'). I am so blessed to have been introduced to music at a young age. I took piano lessons at the Yamaha School of Music from the ages of 7-11, which formed my foundation in music theory. At age 12, I started taking guitar and violin, and haven't looked back ever since. Though my primary career is in Public Health, I have stayed involved in music in high school (near peer mentor at summer camps) and college (joined the East Asian orchestra and played in a worship band). I have also volunteered as assistant director for a Homeschool orchestra, and I've had experience teaching beginner violinists and cellists to start off on the right foot with correct techniques. My desire for all violinists to enjoy the beginning of their journey while simultaneously being positioned to advance to the next level has inspired me to begin offering lessons online.

Calling all beginner violinists! Whether you have just picked up the violin or have been playing for only a few years, I can help you develop your skills and take your musicianship to the next level.
Maybe you just started group lessons or joined your school orchestra and have questions that your group teacher doesn't have time to answer. Or maybe you are an adult learner who is just getting started and would like to build on a solid foundation.
I am excited to work with you wherever you are! Come to the lesson with a piece that you would like to work on, or I can give you some suggestions.

Perfect! Good communication with with my 6 year old granddaughter. Easy explanations and directions. Very pleasant experience.
- The client's granddaughter received a virtual lesson. She was on time and excited to learn. I believe the hour was a bit long as she is young and it's harder to stay engaged online, but tried to break it up with different activities. We need to get her a smaller violin and see if she is able to adapt to using the traditional setup rather than having it switched as she favors her left-hand.
