About Vishesh

I am Vishesh Goswami, a singer, composer, and vocal coach with over 20 years of musical training and more than 10 years of teaching experience. My musical journey has been shaped by several distinguished gurus.

I began my training under Shri Ramesh Chandra Ji, who introduced me to Hindustani vocals and Dogri folk music of Jammu (India). Under his guidance, I had the opportunity to perform folk songs for All India Radio and started my singing journey in 2003.

I furthered my Hindustani classical training under the late Dr. Ustad Anees Ahmed Khan Sahib of the Delhi Gharana, whose guidance strengthened my classical foundation, understanding of gharana gayaki and different musical expressions.

I later worked as promo producer with some radios in New Delhi and started performing for gigs, shows and making music for pvt clients and priductions 2011-2013 trained with Shri Kapil Gandhi Ji and completed an internship at his studio, where I learned music composition, sound production, sound design, and professional studio recording techniques.

Later i moved to Mumbai for more work & oppurtunities but never stoped learning !
One of the greatest influences on my musical journey was my late guru, Shri Mohinderjit Singh Ji, who trained me extensively in Hindustani classical music, voice culture, breath control, alaap, aakaar, sargam, and overall vocal development.

I also studied music composition with renowned composer Amit Trivedi and currently continue my classical training under Shatakshi Mishra, a well-known Hindustani classical vocalist.

My lessons are personalized to help students develop healthy vocal technique, confidence, musical expression, and their own unique voice in a supportive learning environment.

About the lesson

My lessons are personalized to each student's goals, experience, and learning style. Whether you're a complete beginner or an experienced singer, I focus on healthy vocal technique, breath control, pitch, expression, and confidence. I combine practical exercises with clear guidance to help you develop your voice step by step in a supportive and encouraging environment.

I always wanted to learn vocals, but as a working professional, it was never easy to find someone who understood my other commitments while also respecting my passion for music. Vishesh Sir is someone who guides you through every traditional aspect of learning hindustani classical music, but without the rigid, traditional approach that often intimidates beginners. Beyond his teaching, I am constantly in awe of his extraordinary musical ear. The way he can instantly identify the notes of almost any song you give him is nothing short of genius.
It's been 8 months of learning under him, and I genuinely couldn't have asked for a more wonderful guruji.
